Aaron’s fascination and eventual education in massage was influenced after helping his parents recover from knee and back surgeries. Witnessing the dynamic role it played in their quick recovery transformed his view of therapeutic touch. He gave up a budding career as a television videographer and moved to Portland, OR to enroll at East West College of the Healing Arts.
Aaron has 1002 hours of massage education and training. His practice is a fusion of Eastern and Western ideologies and techniques. He draws inspiration from Tui-Na, Zen Shiatsu, Thai, Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy with a foundation of Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy. The principles he uses to govern each session are mindfulness, holistic intention and client-centered service. He values his bodywork as a shared experience between client and therapist where both participate to promote balance. He particularly enjoys the challenge and reward of treatment specific bodywork and is most creative when working with specific areas of perceived dysfunction or chronic pain.
Aaron holds relaxation to be one the most essential factors of overall wellbeing. A dedicated bike commuter, he fosters a healthy lifestyle through regular a Hatha yoga practice, meditation, and nutrition.
"Massage is one of the most rewarding and dynamic practices you can add to your life. It is the oldest form of medicine we have, and the relaxation and balance it provides are the core from which wellness proceeds. In an increasingly cerebral world, massage reconnects us to our physical center. Massage can transform and enlighten. I am honored to create an environment that encourages this balance and wellbeing."
